It will soon be even easier to pay your bills online

Paying your bills through Online Banking will soon be even more convenient. After listening to your suggestions, we’re adding enhancements to the online bill payment process to make it more convenient and easier to use.

Coming soon, the “Pay Bills” section within CIBC Online Banking will include the following features:

Pay up to 25 bills at one time

A list of all your payees will be displayed on your first bill payment page. Instead of using a dropdown menu, you can customize this page to show or hide as many of your payees as you wish. With this new feature, you will be able to select and pay up to 25 bills at once.

View the amount and date of your last payment

It will be even easier to stay on top of your bills, as you’ll always be able to view the amount and date of the last payment to each payee.

Customize your “Pay Bills” page

The “Pay Bills” page can be customized to suit your needs. You’ll be able to create nicknames for payees to differentiate multiple accounts you hold with the same payee (for example: Joanne’s cell phone).

On your “Pay Bills” page, you’ll also be able to select whether you want to see: (1) the amount and date of the last payment to each payee; and (2) the balance of the account you’re paying from.

Set a default account for your payments

You’ll be able to choose a default account from which to pay all bills or select a specific account for each transaction.

Access more of your bill payment history

Selecting any payee’s name will direct you to your “Payee Details” page. On this page, you’ll be able to see all of your recent payments to that payee. This will help you keep track of your payments and spot trends in your spending.

You’ll also be able to access your “Bill Payment Summary” page, where you can review your recent and upcoming scheduled payments.
