Stop Payments

Stop payments can be processed in-branch on cheques and pre-authorized debits.

To stop payment on a cheque*,you need:

• The cheque number
• Date the cheque was issued
• Exact dollar amount of the cheque
• Name of the payee

To stop payment on a pre-authorized debit, you need:

• Exact dollar amount of the pre-authorized debit
• Date your pre-authorized debit is scheduled to be withdrawn
• Name of the payee

*Subject to the item not already having been processed.
