CIBC U.S. Index Fund
(formerly CIBC U.S. Index RRSP Fund)
Investment Objective:
To provide long-term growth through capital appreciation. The Fund is managed to obtain a return that approximates the performance of the S&P 500 Index calculated on a total return basis. The S&P 500 Index is a capitalization-weighted index of 500 stocks, designed to measure performance of the broad U.S. economy representing all major industries. Through the use of derivatives the Fund is 100% eligible for registered plans.
The Fund May Be Suitable for:
- The core U.S. equity component of a diversified retirement (RRSP, RRIF) portfolio
- Investors who want exposure to the U.S. and returns similar to those of the S&P 500 Index
- Those investing for the medium to long term
