Steve Tutty, CIM

Steve is responsible for CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy regional operations and expanding the business in Western Canada. He leads a team of wealth professionals who provide clients with superior service and advice on investments, trust, insurance and financial planning. 

Prior to his current role, Steve was responsible for branches in Toronto, Northern and Eastern Ontario for Wood Gundy, the brokerage arm of CIBC Private Wealth. His industry knowledge, combined with recent CIBC roles, makes him a strong contributor to the business strategy and helps ensure Western Canada is represented in the firm’s management decisions.

Steve brings almost 30 years of experience in sales management, investment management, product development and implementation, client management, strategy, marketing, finance, operations and corporate transformation. He is also an IIROC supervisor, Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, and holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation.

Community involvement is important to Steve and his family. His primary support is for SickKids and Princess Margaret Hospital, having intimate knowledge and personal experience with the tremendous work of these organizations. In his spare time, Steve enjoys travelling with his wife and 3 children, fishing and managing an adult hockey league.
