Transcript: How to use CIBC eDeposit^®

CIBC eDeposit^®: depositing a cheque is as easy as taking a picture.

First, endorse the cheque. Then, select eDeposit and use your smartphone or tablet to take photos of the front and back of the cheque.

[A user signs the back of a cheque then positions their mobile device camera over the cheque. The user takes a picture of the front of the cheque, then flips it over to take a picture of the back of the signed cheque.]

Enter the amount of the cheque and select the account into which you want to deposit the money. Select “Deposit” and you’re done. Once it’s deposited, keep your cheque for at least 5 business days before destroying it.
