Stephen Maltby

Managing Director and Region Head, Atlantic Region

Stephen has been active in the financial services industry for over 30 years. In his role, Stephen oversees CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy operations.

Stephen is a recipient of the Chartered Accountant of the Year for Nova Scotia and was awarded Branch Manager of the Year in Canada for Wood Gundy in 2012. He’s active in his community and volunteers his time with various charitable organizations.

Before entering the investment industry in 1998, Stephen was a practising Chartered Accountant with a national firm and a partner in a local firm for 12 years. He has extensive training and experience in investment management, taxation, business acquisitions, hospitality industry, residential development, retail, and personal and business financial planning.

Stephen is a graduate of Mount Allison University and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 1985.
