Supporting gender-balanced leadership 

In 2016, CIBC became a signatory of the UK Women in Finance Charter — the first Canadian-headquartered bank to make the pledge. At the end of our 2023 fiscal year, women comprised 39% of our global board-approved executive roles, up from 30% when we first signed the Charter. We continue to be committed to meet our guidance of at least 40% women in board-approved executive roles.

CIBC was the first Canadian bank to join the Valuable 500 campaign in 2019, dedicated to unlocking the business, social and economic value of people living with disabilities around the world.
