Current headlines paint a picture of a world where uncertainty and fear are the dominant themes. There’s no shortage of questions surrounding COVID-19 and how it has the potential to touch all aspects of our lives, both personal and professional.
We want to remind you of the convenient ways you can connect with us remotely, so that you continue to have easy access to your finances and expert advice as we manage through COVID-19 together.
We’re taking steps to serve you safely and responsibly
Your health and safety and that of our team members is important to us. We have put new precautionary measures in place with a view to help keep everyone a little safer and help flatten the spread of COVID-19. To lighten face-to-face meetings, we’re adjusting services at some of our private banking centres, Wood Gundy branches and CIBC Asset Management offices, including reducing hours of operation at some of our locations.
Supporting our clients
Our team understands the current environment and we recognize COVID-19 is rapidly changing our normal routines. You may have questions, concerns or challenges with your personal finances or need guidance with your investments. Whether it’s discussing your long-term financial goals, implementing specific wealth protection strategies or meeting your banking needs, we have plans in place to be here for you when you need us.
Providing expert advice
We understand that in a rapidly changing environment, access to advice and expertise is essential. With recent volatility in equity markets and changes in interest rates, our team is ready to meet with you or connect by phone to review your financial objectives and current investment portfolio. Many of our clients have asked what they should do to protect themselves in the current market. As a general rule, the answer is that you should stick to the principles you’ve put in place with your advisor. The reason you have a trusted relationship with your financial expert is for times like this — to help put short-term market fluctuations in the context of your long-term ambitions.
Maintaining a high level of banking access and support
We have business continuity plans in place to ensure we continue to meet your needs even in times of disruption such as this.
This includes having some members of our team working at alternate office locations or from their home to ensure continuity of service, restrictions on business travel, limiting group meetings for our team members and cleaning protocols for public spaces such as our private banking centres, Wood Gundy branches and CIBC Asset Management offices.
