2. Eligibility
In order to be eligible to receive a waiver of up to twelve (12) months of monthly account fees for a Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account, you must meet the following criteria:
- Open a Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account after April 14, 2025, online on our site and include the promotional code CIBCTRADES before submitting your business account application.
- Keep the Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account open and in good standing.
- The monthly fee waiver will be programmed commencing the first full month, after the end of the month in which the account is opened. In any case, you are eligible to receive a total of twelve (12) months of waived monthly fees, if all eligibility criteria is met.
3. Additional conditions that apply
- Only one Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account monthly fee waiver per business client that receives the promotional code CIBCTRADES, regardless of the number of products opened or number of co-owners.

- In order to receive the monthly account fee waiver, the Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account opened in connection with the offer must remain open, and be in compliance with the operating account agreement terms and conditions. If the Basic Business Operating Account or Everyday Business Operating Account is closed for any reason prior to or during the period that the fee waiver is being applied, then standard account closure fees may apply, and you may not receive the full fee waiver.
- You are responsible for any tax consequences (if any) arising out of receiving benefit of the monthly fee waiver.

Debits include, without limitation, withdrawals, cheques, pre-authorized payments, bill payments, Interac Direct Payments, Interac e-Transfer payments, direct deposits and transfers to other accounts. Credits include, without limitation, deposits, pre-authorized payments, bill payments, Interac Direct Payments, Interac e-Transfer payments, and direct deposits and transfers from other accounts (except transfers from CIBC business accounts). Standard Interac e-Transfer fees apply for transactions that exceed any quantities included in your account package.
