Frank Guse leads CIBC’s global Risk Management function, which encompasses all areas of strategic, market, credit, operational, liquidity and reputational risk, as well as compliance and anti-money laundering.
Previously, Frank was Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Transformation, responsible for Personal and Business Banking’s strategic planning, sales effectiveness, frontline enablement and business controls functions. Prior to that, he led CIBC’s Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Credit Decisioning. Prior to joining CIBC in 2014, Frank began his career at McKinsey & Company’s risk management practice in Germany, where he consulted for clients across Asia, Europe and North America.
He has a PhD in Quantitative Finance and a Business Administration degree from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, an Economics degree from FernUniversität Hagen and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
