Save time by paying bills online. Sign on to CIBC Online Banking® or the CIBC Mobile Banking App® to manage your bill payments from your CIBC bank account or schedule recurring payments.

Review your credit card transactions

Keep tabs on your credit card spending by viewing your transaction history online. Review your credit card purchases in real time with interactive transaction details, available in Online Banking or the mobile app. Simply select each transaction for more information about the purchase.

Follow up on unsuccessful credit card payments

Has your credit card been declined? You may have overdue payments or have reached your credit limit. If we’ve blocked the transaction for security purposes, we’ll send you a message right away. Reply to the message to validate the transaction before trying again. To view your account status, sign on to Online Banking.

Can’t find your credit card? Sign on to Online Banking to report a lost or stolen card online, or temporarily lock your misplaced card until you find it. Play our how-to videos for instructions on how to control your cards from anywhere.

Hold funds policy

Your money is safe with us

When you make a deposit to your personal account(s), a fixed waiting period may apply before the funds are made entirely available to you. For example, we may place a hold on cheques you deposit to help protect you against counterfeit or fraudulent cheques.

Track available funds in your bank account through Online Banking or on the mobile app by selecting "Available funds". When in doubt, protect yourself by asking for payments via a certified cheque or bank draft. These may cost more, but will minimize the risk of payments being returned as “Not Sufficient Funds”.

To send or receive smaller amounts, use Interac e-Transfer® and bypass waiting periods for cheque deposits.
