Click to Pay

This is an online payments solution based on the EMV^® Secure Remote Commerce (EMV SRC) standards and specifications. With EMV SRC, a single payment profile can be used across a variety of consumer devices and participating online merchants. The standards include a common payment icon and an easy and secure journey for card-based digital transactions.

Just look for the Click to Pay icon  before you check out at your favorite participating online retailers.

You can use Click to Pay with any CIBC Visa credit, debit or prepaid card or Mastercard credit card. When you’re ready to check out for an online purchase, look for the Click to Pay icon.

All Visa cards stored in your Visa Checkout account will be automatically transferred over, but your non-Visa cards won’t. Some existing Visa Checkout users may need to re-verify themselves through one-time codes when they use Click to Pay for the first time. 

All Mastercard credit cards stored in your Masterpass account will not be automatically transferred over; clients must set up their credit cards on Click to Pay to check out with Click to Pay.

You can also set up new cards on Click to Pay through a participating retailer at checkout.

Yes, you can use Click to Pay on internet-enabled mobile devices.

You can create a Click to Pay account and set up your credit and debit cards

1. at participating merchants that display the Click to Pay icon;
2. on Visa’s enrollment pageOpens a new window in your browser. ; or
3. on Mastercard’s enrollment page Opens in a new window..

Yes, you can choose to enable this feature by selecting “Remember Me.” Then you can skip entering your email and a one-time code to access the cards you set up for Click to Pay. It’s a great way to make your checkout experience even faster and easier without entering your 16-digit card number and other payment information. “Remember Me” works for all merchant websites displaying the Click to Pay icon . This feature isn’t recommended for shared devices.
